NIO to launch NOP Pilot Assist at Beijing Auto Show

On September 22, NIO said that it will officially launch the Navigate on Pilot (NOP) navigational assistance feature at the Beijing Auto Show, which opens on September 26, as well as release the NIO OS 2.7.0 update to the public. According to media reports, NIO is only releasing the feature at that auto show, and the exact timing of the push is uncertain, expected in the fourth quarter of this year. The NOP Pilot Assist function is a deep integration of the navigation system and NIO Pilot automatic driving assistance function, which allows the vehicle to follow the path planned by the navigation to achieve automatic ramp in and out, overtaking, merging, cruise driving and other functions under certain conditions, which can also be understood as "similar to Tesla NOA," as Li Bin said. " In addition, during the Beijing Auto Show, NIO will also unveil plans to upgrade its destination fast-charging station service. The plan will further expand the openness of the NIO's recharging system and continue to improve the recharging experience for all EV users, according to NIO.

NIO Launched The 100kwh Battery Pack

NIO launched the 100kWh battery pack on Nov 6. The new battery pack will be compatible with all existing models. The new battery pack costs RMB 5,400 for non-BaaS users to upgrade from 84kWh to 100kWh, and RMB 58,000 for 70kWh users. William Li, founder, chairman, and CEO of NIO said at the scene that all models support battery pack upgrade, and the NEDC range of ec6 will increase to 615km, es6 to 610km, and the new es8 to 580km.  The new 100kWh battery pack supports all-weather temperature control, non-heat spreading safety design, and highly integrated CTP, which increases energy density by 37%. New option owners and permanent upgrade owners can book the service from November 7, with deliveries to follow in December this year.
