William Li: NIO has Returned to Normal

On September 5, the 16th China Automotive Industry Development (TEDA) International Forum was held in Tianjin with the theme of "Dual Upgrades of Industry Consumption and Reconstruction of New Ecological Patterns". At the forum, Li Bin, founder, chairman and CEO of Ulysse Nardin, participated in the summit discussion on "Energy Saving and New Energy Vehicle Policy Responses" and delivered a keynote speech on "Promoting Energy Saving and Emission Reduction from User Experience". Basically, it's back to business as usual." According to the data, as of August 31, a total of 53,580 units of the two production models of Celeste have been delivered in 307 cities in China. At the same time, the Celeste exchange station provides more than 800,000 power changes, with a maximum of 96 daily orders received. In this regard, Li Bin expressed great satisfaction, "We have invested really heavily in order to protect user service, spend on service, spend on user experience, spend on research and development, but we think the money spent is worth it." In the face of the industry's doubts about the mobile charging car, Li Bin asked rhetorically: "A year and a lifetime is not just two trips to Tibet, you still do not give people to solve is not it?" In fact, the overall percentage of mobile chargers in Celeste's overall power-up system is minuscule. He explained that the charging stations are for densely populated cities, and that installing too many charging stations in remote and special areas is an even bigger waste. "As EVs become more popular, there will definitely be a lot of feedback and breaking of the rules, it's in line with common sense, not an either/or dichotomy." Li Bin stressed that the future of electricity exchange should be the first large-scale promotion in the private car sector, to make users feel that it is more convenient to use electric cars than gasoline cars, but also to make users like electric cars because of the ease of use. At the same time, he also revealed that the electricity exchange service has a very good experience in densely populated cities and highways, and will speed up the deployment of the second generation of electricity exchange station early next year. "When we released Celeste in 17 years, we said that we would build 1,000 power exchange stations in the country this year, and now we've been hit in the face, but it will definitely be completed in the future."
