NIO Leads the Standardizing of Battery Swapping

A total of five battery swap industry standards were officially approved for publication on October 23, 2020 and will be implemented from February 1, 2021, according to the National Energy Administration (NEA). The National Energy Administration released the industry standards for battery swapping developed by NIO. Among them, NIO took the lead in the compilation of 10435, 10436 and 33025 standards, and was deeply involved in the compilation of 10434 and 33004 standards. This batch of standards took more than 2 years from project initiation to release, and hundreds of comments were collected. NIO led the preparation of: 1. NB/T 10435-2020 General Technical Requirements for Quick-Change Battery Box Locking Mechanism for Electric Vehicles 2. NB/T 10436-2020 General Technical Requirements for Cooling Interface of Quick-Change Battery Boxes for Electric Vehicles 3. NB/T 33025-2020 General Requirements for Quick-Change Battery Boxes for Electric Vehicles NIO also deeply involved:  1. NB...

Batter Swap is "Olympic gold medal"

William Li, the founder and chairman of NIO, who "has been thinking about some ultimate solutions for electric cars since 2012" but has become the "least lucky man" in the industry in 2019, has played a beautiful game with his conviction and perseverance. Turn over the battle, ushering in a new high light moment in life. A few days ago, William Li accepted an interview with Battery China and talked freely around the hot topic of power change at present. William Li said that many people have a misunderstanding about the relationship between power exchange and charging, and feel that the two are opposed to each other, which is not the case. Charging is the foundation, and NIO's car also prioritizes the use of charging, and the proportion of NIO's charging piles installed is also very high, up to about 70%. "Our ultra-charging piles in NIO are very useful, close to more than 300,000 third-party charging piles of National Grid, Star Charging, and Special Ca...

NIO Is Developing 150-degree Battery Pack With Range Of Over 900km

Because of range anxiety, charging anxiety, and other anxieties, electric cars are still considered a niche model in China. Although many people become early adopters, the majority of consumers are still in a wait-and-see mode, which can be seen from the sales of EV models. However, compared to before, today's electric vehicles, in terms of range and driving experience, have made a lot of progress. Previously, it was also said that if an electric car had a single battery and a range of 800km, they would consider buying an electric car. And now, it might really be almost time to make good on that promise. On October 30, at the EP Club (elite user club within the NIO brand), William Li said that NIO is currently working on a 150-degree battery pack that will allow the EV to have a range of over 900km. What can be seen is that, if the NIO's 150-degree battery pack is put into mass production and installed, the vehicle's range will exceed 900km. Even when compared to fuel-effic...
